The Role: We're looking for a proactive, senior Systems Consultant/3rd Line Infrastructure to join the Infrastructure Services Team. As a 3rd line specialist, you'll manage complex technical issues, drive automation and standardisation, and act as a trusted advisor to both internal teams and clients. The role blends technical expertise with consultative impact, supporting cloud-first, secure, and resilient IT environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead resolution of complex incidents and provide 3rd line escalation support.
- Oversee proactive service delivery, including monitoring, patching, and optimisation.
- Drive automation, standardisation, and infrastructure improvements.
- Support customer security, backup, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Mentor 1st and 2nd line engineers, sharing knowledge and raising team capability.
- Maintain high-quality documentation and clear communication with stakeholders.
Skills & Experience:
- 2–3+ years in 2nd/3rd line or senior infrastructure roles within MSP or enterprise settings.
- Expertise with Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows Server, Active Directory / Entra ID, Group Policy.
- Experience with virtualisation (VMware/Hyper-V), networking, firewalls, storage, and automation.
- Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and proactive improvement skills.
- Cybersecurity knowledge, backup, and disaster recovery experience.
Desirable: Linux, AWS/Google Cloud, VoIP, MSP tooling, Microsoft certifications (AZ-104, MS-102/MS-100).
