You will be working for an MPS on site in Dudley and surrounding areas. Starting 10th November – 31 January 26, with potential extension. Must have your own transport to travel to other sites when needed. Mileage allowance for travel from the main site of work. Day Rate £180 Inside IR35.
The role is to deliver on-site technical services to a wide range of client environments, covering installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of IT, UC, and network systems. The role combines hands-on technical delivery with clear communication and coordination with internal teams, ensuring minimal disruption to client operations and a consistent, high-quality service experience.
Responsibilities:- Carry out installation, configuration, and commissioning of IT, UC, network, and associated infrastructure at client sites.
- Perform fault diagnosis, repairs, and preventive maintenance in line with company and vendor procedures.
- Complete site surveys, document technical details, and feedback accurate information for project planning.
- Support client relocations, upgrades, and change requests in line with agreed schedules.
- Work collaboratively with the Service Desk, Project Teams, and other engineering disciplines to ensure issues are resolved efficiently.
- Maintain up-to-date service records, job sheets, and asset information for all on-site work.
- Proven experience in field-based IT, UC, or network engineering.
- Strong understanding of IT & UC hardware and peripheral installation (servers, switches, routers, endpoints).
- Working knowledge of structured cabling, patching, and cable testing.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Windows operating systems, Office 365, and network troubleshooting tools.
- Understanding of IP networking, VLANs, and wireless deployments.
- Experience with VoIP/UC platforms.
