Contract: Immediate start - initially contract with potential to become permanent
The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Hardware Repair Engineer/IT Repair Technician to join an established operation where there is a genuine long-term requirement for the role.
The initial requirement is contract, with the expectation that this could develop into a permanent position for the right individual.
The business is experiencing a significant and growing volume of out-of-warranty laptops and IT equipment requiring repair.
Key Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for the diagnosis, repair and refurbishment of a range of IT hardware, including:
- Lenovo ThinkPad laptops
- Dell Latitude laptops
- HP EliteBook, ZBook and Pro ranges
- Desktop PCs
- Printers
The role will involve hands-on and invasive hardware repairs, including:
- Screen replacements
- Keyboard replacements
- Battery replacements
- Casing and chassis repairs
- Mainboard replacements
- Memory upgrades and replacements
- Fault diagnosis and general hardware troubleshooting
- Testing and ensuring equipment is fully operational following repair
About You
We are looking for someone with strong practical experience in IT hardware repair and component-level replacement. xgikmsk
You will need to be confident working hands-on with laptops, desktops and associated equipment, with the ability to diagnose faults and carry out repairs efficiently and accurately.
Key requirements:
- Proven hands-on experience repairing IT hardware
- Strong experience with Lenovo, Dell and HP laptops
- Experience carrying out invasive laptop repairs
- Good understanding of PC hardware and components
- Experience repairing or servicing printers would be advantageous
- A methodical approach to fault finding and repair
