Vertex Associates is supporting a PE‑Backed, Global business looking to hire a Financial Accountant to assist with SOX testing, remediation, and ongoing compliance of SOX controls. This is an exceptional opportunity for a newly qualified financial accountant coming from a Big 4 or Top 6 firm who is ready to take their first step into industry. Responsibilities
- Perform SOX testing across key business controls
- Identify control deficiencies, document findings, and support remediation
- Re‑test remediated controls and track progress
- Support SOX compliance activities
- Test controls within current systems and through an ERP rollout
- Provide guidance to stakeholders on SOX requirements and best practices
- Partner with internal audit, finance, IT, and external auditors
Qualifications
- Newly qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent) with IFRS experience
- Proven experience in SOX testing and external or internal audit
- Background in a Big 4 or Top 6 firm strongly preferred
- Hands‑on business process and internal controls testing experience
