A home based remote role which will include visiting client sites across Manchester and the north west. The role will be working for a company who offers an employee focused working environment. You will have experience of leading, communicating, advising and consulting at executive level, and with trade unions, on large scale organisational change issues and policy development. You're as comfortable developing wide-reaching strategies of key institutional significance. Using your creativity and initiative to resolve problems and mitigate risk comes naturally to you. When it comes to dealing effectively with difficult welfare situations or confidential matters in line with policies and procedures, you have what it takes to deliver. You’ll be a subject matter expert in employee relations, providing expert guidance on complex ER issues.
Responsibilities:
- Strategically manage customer relationships ensuring service levels, policies and processes are delivered and that customer KPIs are met.
- Demonstrate role modelling of, and be ambassador for, HR business partnering across the function/region.
- Contribute to service development, including design of delivery specifications for new and existing customers.
- Deliver a high-performing and trusted Employee Relations service to all external partners, providing leaders with meaningful analytics to enable business improvement.
- Manage change initiatives and lead on organisational restructures.
- Lead and mentor the HR Advisory team to provide advice and support on employee relations case management; identifying and mitigating risk to our customers.
- Drive continuous improvement in customer delivery of employee relations and policy services (processes, policies, guidance and advice).
Internal Broader Responsibilities:
- Support with the integration and joint development of services with other businesses and departments and the wider Group.
- Be a culture champion and subject matter expert.
- Network across the education sector and HR profession, building strong relationships.
- Keep up to date with the upcoming changes in the HR industry and education sector.
Key experience:
- Commercial HR Business Partner experience.
- Coaching and staff mentoring/development.
- Confident and clear communicator both written and oral.
- Strong IT skills.
- Experience working within a matrix management environment.
- Good communication skills with the ability to work across a variety of stakeholder groups.
