Vertex Associates are proud to be partnering with a prestigious education institute in hiring a People Partner on a temporary basis. This is a hybrid position consisting of 3 days a week in their London office.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Partner with managers across the organisation, providing professional HR advice and guidance
- Manage a broad range of employee relations matters, including performance management, disciplinaries, grievances, probation reviews, absence management and organisational change
- Support the review and implementation of HR policies, procedures and employment documentation
- Lead onboarding and induction processes to ensure a positive employee experience
- Support employee engagement initiatives and staff feedback programmes
- Manage probation processes and provide ongoing support to managers and new employees
- Coordinate learning and development activities, including mandatory training and development programmes
- Support the delivery of performance review and talent development processes
- Produce and analyse HR data, KPIs and management information to support business decisions
- Maintain and improve HR systems, processes and employee communications
- Support change management and restructuring projects where required
- Manage apprenticeship programmes and external training providers
- Support reward, promotion and recognition processes
- Supervise and support junior members of the People team
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation, GDPR and internal policies
- Champion diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives across the organisation
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency
Requirements:
- CIPD qualified or equivalent HR experience
- Experience with iTrent or similar HR systems
- Proven experience in a generalist HR or HR Business Partner/People Partner role
- Strong employee relations knowledge with the ability to manage complex cases
- Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels
- Experience using HR systems and driving process improvements
- Previous line management or supervisory experience is beneficial
- Experience within education, charity, arts, not-for-profit or similar sectors is advantageous
