We're supporting a PE-Backed, Global business looking to hire a Financial Accountant to assist with SOX testing, remediation, and ongoing compliance of SOX controls. This is an exceptional opportunity for a newly qualified accountant coming from a Big 4 or Top 6 firm who's ready to take their first step into industry. The role offers far more than a standard reporting role—because it focuses on the operations of the business, you'll gain exposure across finance, IT, and external auditors, giving you a holistic understanding of how the company runs. Key Responsibilities
- Perform SOX testing across key business controls
- Identify control deficiencies, document findings, and support remediation
- Re-test remediated controls and track progress
- Support SOX compliance activities
- Test controls within current systems and throughout an ERP rollout
- Provide guidance to stakeholders on SOX requirements and best practices
- Partner with internal audit, finance, IT, and external auditors
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Newly qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CPA or equivalent), with IFRS experience
- Proven experience in SOX testing and external or internal audit
- Background in a Big 4 / Top 6 firm strongly preferred
- Hands-on business process and internal controls testing experience
Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of SOX frameworks and internal controls
- Excellent documentation, analytical, and organisational skills
- Ability to manage multiple testing activities simultaneously
- Strong communication skills with the ability to educate stakeholders
- Detail-driven with a proactive, problem-solving mindset
