Vertex Associates are proud to be partnering with a global media advertising business in hiring a Financial Controller. This is a hybrid position consisting of 2-3 days per week in the office.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Lead the delivery of monthly forecasts and annual budgets across multiple entities.
- Manage submission and reporting processes in Hyperion.
- Coordinate with local finance teams and respond to network-wide queries.
- Oversee timely month-end management reporting for all designated entities.
- Resolve reporting issues with stakeholder teams to ensure accuracy and deadline compliance.
- Manage intercompany matching and deliver consolidated group reporting, including adjustments.
- Review and approve consolidation files, reporting schedules, and working capital submissions.
- Deliver cashflow forecasts and quarterly reporting requirements.
- Act as the main point of contact for external finance teams.
- Oversee production of management accounts for corporate entities.
- Provide technical guidance on complex accounting areas.
- Review and sign off monthly financial reporting packs and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Analyse monthly results and key variances.
- Approve journals, oversee payroll reconciliations, and manage recharges for assigned entities.
- Lead preparation of UK financial statements, including reconciliation between US and UK GAAP.
- Deliver consolidated statutory accounts for selected entities.
- Manage external audit relationships and oversee all audit deliverables.
- Act as the technical lead for UK statutory accounting matters.
- Oversee consolidated tax reporting and annual internal tax questionnaires.
- Manage UK statutory tax submissions, including VAT and PSA.
- Provide technical support on UK tax compliance and reporting queries.
Requirements:
- ACA or ACCA qualified with solid post‑qualification experience.
- Confident Excel user with strong analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to engage effectively at all levels.
- Proven team management experience.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high‑quality work.
- Able to prioritise effectively and consistently meet tight deadlines.
- Quick to learn, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proactive, self‑motivated, and able to manage tasks independently while contributing as part of a team.
- Experience using Hyperion, Microsoft Dynamics D365 or a similar ERP system is beneficial.
