Vertex Associates are proud to be partnering with a leading London based property and engineering business in hiring a Credit Controller on a permanent basis. This is a hybrid position consist of 3 days per week in the central London office, and 2 days from home.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Timely collection of consulting services debt within terms of payment in order to reduce debtor days and meet other receivable KPIs for dedicated portfolio of clients
- Open communication with surveying and client account teams, and other appropriate sources, to ensure that any queries or disputes are resolved in an efficient and timely manner
- Reporting on various aspects of debtor balances on daily, weekly and monthly basis and
- Maintain a detailed breakdown on top client accounts to show current status
- Post and correctly allocate payments on client accounts (including cheques) received in accordance with customer remittance information
- Perform all duties professionally and in line with documented procedures to ensure all internal and external targets are successfully achieved
- Work to strict monthly and annual cash and DSO targets
- Carry out any ad hoc tasks as requested in line with your role that supports the finance transaction team and Accounts Receivable Manager
- Ability to chase debt effectively without compromising customer relations
- Focussed, self motivated and driven to achieve clearly defined cash and DSO targets
- A strong understanding of credit control procedures
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Proactive, able to use own initiative and is able demonstrate a flexible attitude to the work load
