We’re looking for an ambitious Assistant Accountant to join a growing finance team within a dynamic, exciting business. This is a hands‑on, high‑visibility role where you’ll manage Accounts Payable and Receivable, take ownership of management accounts, and support across reconciliations, intercompany transactions, and fixed assets. This role provides clear opportunities for growth as the company expands across multiple markets, making it perfect for an ambitious individual!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end Accounts Payable and Receivable processes.
  • Invoice and expense management, ensuring correct coding and approvals.
  • Prepare and process weekly supplier payments and maintain reconciliations.
  • Create and track client invoices, manage receivables, and chase overdue balances.
  • Perform bank, intercompany, and balance sheet reconciliations across multiple entities.
  • Maintain fixed asset register and post monthly depreciation journals.
  • Maintain prepayments and accruals schedules accurately each month.
  • Own the management accounts process, including variance analysis and month‑end pack preparation.
  • Take ownership of all finance reporting deadlines, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
  • Reconcile project costs and highlight over‑ and underspends.

Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in finance covering AP/AR and month‑end tasks.
  • Hands‑on experience with Xero (essential).
  • Understanding of accruals, prepayments, intercompany transactions, and fixed assets.
  • Experience assisting with or preparing management accounts.
  • Experience with Spendesk or similar expense management systems (advantageous).
  • Exposure to multi‑currency accounting or international entities (advantageous).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Highly organised with strong ownership and accountability for deadlines.
