Estimating Engineer required by established, high-tech Manufacturing Company specialising in complex precision engineered components for highly regulated industries. This is a varied, commercially focused role where you’ll be responsible for:
- Reviewing technical drawings and customer requirements
- Producing manufacturing estimates and quotations
- Liaising with suppliers and customers
- Helping manage projects through to completion
You’ll also work closely with production and supply chain teams to improve profitability, reduce costs and ensure projects are delivered right first time.
Requirements:
- Strong mechanical engineering/manufacturing background
- Ability to understand and interpret complex engineering drawings
- Experience producing estimates/quotations within an engineering or manufacturing environment
- Good communication and customer-facing skills
Nice-to-have:
- Previous experience within a subcontract machining company
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing / Continuous Improvement techniques
