Project Design Engineer required by a leading UK company delivering large-scale Engineered Solutions! This is a hands-on and rewarding role where no two days are the same. You will work closely with the sales team to help secure new business by developing smart, practical design solutions that turn exhibition and retail concepts into real, buildable structures.
You will also play a key role in supporting the production team, providing clear guidance on fabrication, assembly and installation methods. From creating detailed 2D and 3D drawings in SolidWorks for bespoke displays and structural elements, to managing multiple live projects from concept through to completion.
Experience
- Experience in sheet metal, fabrication, exhibition or retail display design
- Strong CAD design and drawing experience (SolidWorks essential)
- Mechanically minded with a practical understanding of how structures fit together
- Comfortable working on multiple projects simultaneously
- Clear and confident communicator, able to liaise effectively across sales, clients and production teams
Nice-to-have
- Formal engineering qualification
