A lot of electronics engineering roles at the moment seem to read like they want one person to do absolutely everything. This isn’t one of those. This role would suit someone who enjoys being hands-on with electronics manufacturing and problem solving, someone who likes understanding why products fail, how processes can be improved and how new products can be introduced properly into production.
You’ll be joining a well-established engineering and manufacturing business working on advanced electronic and electromechanical systems within a highly technical environment. The work is varied and sits between engineering, manufacturing and production support rather than being purely office-based documentation work or repetitive test work.
You’ll be involved with:
- Supporting new product introduction (NPI) into manufacture
- Fault finding and root-cause analysis on electronic systems
- Improving manufacturing and production processes
- Developing test equipment, jigs and fixtures
- Supporting build documentation and work instructions
- Working closely with design and production teams to improve manufacturability and reliability
The environment would suit someone coming from an electronics manufacturing, production engineering, test engineering or technical support background who wants broader exposure.
