Lead Civil Engineer – Water & Wastewater Location: Glasgow / Remote UK Salary: Circa £75,000–£85,000 + Bonus + Excellent Benefits Lead Civil Engineer required by a growing engineering consultancy working on a range of technically challenging projects within the water and wastewater sector This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Civil Engineer to take a leading role within the civil engineering team, providing technical direction, supporting other engineers and remaining closely involved in detailed design work You'll need to be comfortable taking ownership of civil engineering deliverables, while remaining hands-on with the detailed design responsibilities expected of other engineers within the team The role offers a varied mix of technical design, engineering leadership and collaboration with other disciplines, supporting projects through different stages of delivery Essential: * Strong civil engineering design experience within the water/wastewater sector, particularly treatment works * Significant detailed design experience, ideally involving non-infrastructure projects * Proven experience leading, mentoring or providing technical direction to other Civil Engineers * Confident and approachable, with strong communication and interpersonal skills * Comfortable remaining technically hands-on, including producing and reviewing engineering drawings * Ability to take ownership of civil design activities and deliver work independently Advantageous: * A Civil Engineering degree and Chartered status, or progress towards chartership * Experience working within multidisciplinary engineering consultancies * Experience delivering civil engineering designs from concept through to detailed design A tremendous opportunity to join a growing consultancy offering excellent flexibility, genuine scope for career progression and the chance to play an influential role within its civil engineering team!
