Our client requires a Quantity Surveyor to assist the team on a permanent basis at their offices in Wembley. They are an established construction and maintenance provider to the social housing and education sectors.
The Quantity Surveyor will ensure that variations are priced and submitted to the client’s representative on a regular basis. They will assist site and project managers and the clients in the identification and recording of variations, understand the key financial risks and opportunities associated with the Contract(s), and take all necessary measures to mitigate risk and enhance opportunities. The Quantity Surveyor will also report back to the business on the status of these.
Additionally, the Quantity Surveyor will develop and monitor performance against pre-determined key performance indicators for the region, analyse statistical trends in project data, report monthly adverse trends, and suggest potential mitigation strategies. They will ensure all critical deadlines are met monthly, specifically submission of valuations, internal CVRs, cash flow forecasts, internal forward work plans, sub-contract ordering, valuing of sub-contract works, and processing sub-contract payments, all in accordance with deadline schedules set by the line manager.
The Quantity Surveyor will liaise with the site and project managers to ensure maximum efficiency of working methods and material procurement. They should have experience of pricing models: NHF SOR codes, basket rates, schedule of items, bill of quantities, etc., along with experience of JCT, NEC, TPC, PPC, and NHF standard forms of contract.
