Our client requires a Quantity Surveyor to assist the team on a permanent basis at their offices in Wembley. They are an established construction and maintenance provider to the social housing and education sectors.
The Quantity Surveyor will:
- Ensure that variations are priced and submitted to the client’s representative on a regular basis.
- Assist site and project managers and the clients in the identification and recording of variations.
- Understand the key financial risks and opportunities associated with the Contract(s) and take all necessary measures to mitigate risk and enhance opportunities.
- Report back to the business on the status of these risks and opportunities.
- Develop and monitor performance against pre-determined key performance indicators for the region.
- Analyse statistical trends in project data and report monthly adverse trends, suggesting potential mitigation strategies.
- Ensure all critical deadlines are met monthly, specifically submission of valuations, internal CVRs, cash flow forecasts, internal forward work plans, sub-contract ordering, valuing of sub-contract works, and processing sub-contract payments in accordance with deadline schedules set by the line manager.
- Liaise with the site and project managers to ensure maximum efficiency of working methods and material procurement.
