Location: Gatwick Airport
Duration: 4 weeks / approx. 18 working days
Start: Next Wednesday
Hours: 7:30am – 3:30pm
Rate: £200 per day

We are currently looking for an experienced Fibre Splicer to join a project at Gatwick Airport for approximately 4 weeks.

The Role

  • Splicing 144 GRP fibre cables into a 24 x 4 module panel.
  • Splicing 96 cores, with the remaining 48 cores wrapped and left for future use.
  • Working alongside an experienced fibre splicing team already on site.
  • Potential for additional splicing works on Pier 6 during any downtime, with the possibility of extending the contract.
  • Working closely with an engineer who was involved in the original installation and can assist with presentation and technical requirements.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Fibre Splicer.
  • Strong experience with fibre splicing and termination.
  • Ideally able to obtain a Blue Badge for Gatwick Airport access.
  • A solid 5-year work history is required for airport security clearance.
  • Ability to complete the necessary GAL training.
  • Must be comfortable working independently while also being part of an existing splicing team.
