The Nexum Group is recruiting on behalf of a leading, well-established M&E contractor delivering high-profile projects across London. They are now looking for a Mechanical Project Manager to join their team based at Heathrow.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work within one of the UK’s most complex and high-profile environments. You’ll be involved in projects delivered airside, giving you a unique behind-the-scenes role in the ongoing development of Heathrow. For many, this becomes more than just a job — it’s a long-term career within a fast-paced but localised project environment.
In this role, you will take full ownership of your projects, ensuring delivery on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will lead and coordinate project teams, including Site Managers, Engineers and Quantity Surveyors, while managing key client and stakeholder relationships.
Responsibilities will include:
- Supporting estimation and design development
- Driving value engineering
- Managing procurement of subcontractors and equipment
- Ensuring strong commercial performance alongside the project QS
- Overseeing subcontractor performance
- Monitoring resources and materials
- Producing regular progress reports covering RFIs, programme updates and key project milestones
- Ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety procedures
- Maintaining and developing client relationships and future opportunities
We are looking for someone with 5–10 years’ experience in Mechanical or M&E Project Management, who can demonstrate strong leadership, commercial awareness and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders. Excellent communication, attention to detail and problem-solving skills are essential. Previous airport experience is beneficial but not required.
