We’re looking for a skilled IT Infrastructure Engineer to support and evolve our on-premise, cloud, and modern workplace environments. You’ll work across servers, networks, security, Microsoft 365, Azure, and end-user technologies – delivering both BAU excellence and project improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and optimise server, storage, virtualisation, and network infrastructure
  • Support Microsoft 365, Azure services, and identity platforms
  • Deliver infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and rollout projects
  • Strengthen security controls aligned to ISO 27001
  • Provide 3rd-line support, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis
  • Maintain documentation, asset records, and configuration standards
  • Improve efficiency through automation and scripting

Skills & Experience

  • A strong mix of the following:
  • HPE & Microsoft infrastructure including Windows Server 2019–2025, Linux (Ubuntu), HPE ProLiant DL (Gen7–12), AD, GPO, Entra ID
  • Virtualisation (VMware, Hyper-V), SAN/NAS storage, backup & recovery (Barracuda O365), HPE iLO
  • Cisco/Meraki networking, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing/switching, Wi-Fi, VPN, firewalls, diagnostics, port forwarding, telephony (RING)
  • Microsoft 365 (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams), Azure infrastructure, Intune, Autopilot, identity & access management
  • Endpoint security (Defender, BitLocker, Purview), DLP, MFA, patching, vulnerability remediation, ISO 27001 understanding, Mimecast
  • ITSM practices: incident/problem/change management, SLA adherence, documentation, RCA
  • PowerShell automation, automated deployments, patching, Copilot fundamentals
  • Hardware & end-user support across HP, Lenovo, Dell, Apple; imaging, provisioning, Autopilot, Apple Configurator, printers, telephony, CMDB
  • Project delivery: infrastructure upgrades, system rollouts, decommissioning, vendor management, capacity planning

Strong client facing experience is a must in this role as well as a desire to solve technical problems in a professional manner. Pre-sales will be a part of this role so some travel to client site will be required.
