Project Overview

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Site Manager to join a high-profile redevelopment project within the historic Smithfield Market development for the British Museum. This prestigious project involves working within listed areas of the building, delivering structured cabling and secondary containment installations throughout both low and high-level environments. The current phase is nearing completion, with approximately 100 cables remaining to be installed. The following phase will involve the installation and management of approximately 2,500 cables.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate structured cabling installation works on site
  • Oversee a team of approximately 27 engineers
  • Work closely alongside the on-site Project Manager
  • Ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with programme requirements
  • Bring the project back on programme where required
  • Produce and maintain 5-week look-ahead programmes (typically via Excel)
  • Coordinate works within complex and sensitive listed building environments
  • Monitor quality, progress, and health & safety compliance across all activities

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Senior/Experienced Site Manager within structured cabling or telecoms infrastructure
