This is a full-time, remote role for a Product Sales Specialist, that will require extensive and regular travel. The Product Sales Specialist will be responsible for managing and growing customer accounts, delivering exceptional service, and driving product sales. Key responsibilities include building and maintaining relationships with clients, conducting product demonstrations, owning the sales process, and being the internal expert on their products. The role requires close collaboration with internal teams to ensure seamless sales operations and enhanced customer experience.
Main duties:
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing customers, understand their needs and how our products can enhance their patients’ care, ensuring they are fully supported and sales are maximised.
- Proactively seek out new customers for current products in order to grow existing business.
- Maintain up to date customer records and utilise this data to develop and execute agreed sales strategies to ensure targets are met.
- Generate and issue quotes to customers, seeking appropriate sign-off if required.
- Maintain expert-level knowledge on the products you are responsible for selling, and assist with providing technical support and advice to customers and colleagues.
- Maintain basic knowledge of all of Vertec’s products to ensure professional and productive conversations in all customer meetings.
- Stay up to date on competitor products, industry trends, and advancements in relevant medical technology.
- Conduct demonstrations and provide basic training on the products you are responsible for.
- Take responsibility for Tender and bid submissions, and for liaising with NHS Supply Chain as and when required.
- Support the Managing Director in selecting appropriate new products to add to Vertec’s portfolio.
- Attend regional, national and international medical conferences, as required, to maintain professional and technical knowledge and to promote Vertec and its products and ensure optimal networking.
- Work within agreed budgets for sales and marketing expenses.
- Maintain flawless communication with all customers and colleagues, ensuring all stakeholders are kept informed of product developments and customer requirements and complaints.
- Understand and adhere to all requirements associated with maintaining a safe working environment at all times.
- Support the Sales Department and wider company with any other duties as appropriate and as and when required.
Role requirements and qualifications:
- Clinical background as a Radiographer a distinct advantage.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a medical sales or a MedTech customer-facing role.
- Confident and articulate, a natural ‘people person’.
- Ability to understand profit and loss calculations and basic business finance.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage own time and determine priorities, with strong planning and organisational skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or as a pro-active member of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure.
Environment:
- Home based, with frequent national travel to customer sites and conferences. Occasional international travel may be required.
- Hours of work: 9am-5pm, Monday-Friday, but flexibility required to meet the needs of customers and the business.
