Expert support is provided by a team of Applications Specialists, Product Sales Specialists, and Field Service Engineers to ensure customer satisfaction. This is a full-time remote role for an Applications Specialist. The Applications Specialist will work closely with clients to provide on-site customer applications training, with ongoing telephone and email support, for the use of Hologic Bone Densitometers and Hologic Fluoroscan Mini c-arm systems, and additional new systems which Vertec may add to its product portfolio. The role also includes IR(ME)R Operator training and certification where required.
Responsibilities:
- Provide expert clinical, technical and educational support for Vertec systems across the UK. This includes structured and ad hoc practical training to ensure correct patient positioning, scan acquisition and analysis in line with Manufacturer guidelines, and demonstration/training in use of electronic reporting tools to clinicians and/or other personnel.
- Support customers during installation, upgrades and post-installation optimisation.
- Troubleshoot clinical and workflow issues, working closely with the Engineering and Clinical teams.
- Develop and update training materials/User guides.
- Support ongoing competency development and adoption of best practice.
- Advise on optimisation of scan quality whilst promoting radiation safety and compliance with Ionising Radiation regulations, local rules and departmental protocols.
- Act as a trusted clinical advisor to customers, responding to queries in a professional and timely manner.
- Support clinical demonstrations, site visits and pre/post sales activities where required.
- Keep up to date with advances in DXA technology and clinical guidelines.
Role Requirements and Qualifications:
- Radiography Degree or equivalent.
- Significant experience of working in DXA in a clinical environment.
- Excellent understanding of DXA scanning and analysis.
- Professional customer approach at all times; enthusiastic/energetic/positive.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently but also a team player.
- Willingness to learn and take on additional products in line with business requirements.
- Confident and articulate, a natural ‘people person’.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage own time and determine priorities, with strong planning and organisational skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
Working Conditions:
- Home based, with extensive national travel to customer sites and conferences.
- Hours of work: Full time, 9 am-5 pm, Monday-Friday, but flexibility required to meet the needs of customers and the business.
