We have vacancies for two experienced field-based Service Engineers; one based in the Sound East of England and one based in the Manchester/ Nottingham / Bradford area to join our team supporting customers throughout the UK.
Main Duties
·
Install, service and support medical electronic products distributed by Vertec, including
preventive maintenance, calibration and troubleshooting.
· Develop a deep understanding of customer needs and concerns.
· Provide industry leading customer service and technical support to customers.
· Ensure flawless communication with all customers and colleagues, ensuring all stakeholders are kept informed.
· Keep up to date with technical data, manufacturer \’Field Flashes\’ and software releases.
· Document service activities and customer records in a timely manner.
· Assist with providing technical support and advice to customers and colleagues.
· Liaise with device manufacturer\’s technical support as required to overcome any technical issues and feedback issues and paperwork as required.
· Understand and adhere to all requirements associated with maintaining a safe working environment at all times.
· Support the Service Department and wider company with any other duties as appropriate and as and when required.
· Travel to customer sites is a daily requirement. Occasional national travel and overnight stays may be required.
Role requirements and qualifications
· Qualification in electrical or electronic engineering, or a similar field
· Minimum of 3 years of experience in a field service engineering role, ideally in a medical product/hospital environment
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Ability to effectively communicate with customers
· Ability to manage own time and determine priorities
· Strong problem-solving skills
· Ability to work independently
· Ability to work well in a team environment
· Strong planning and organisational skills
· Ability to work under pressure
A full driving licence is essential.
