Are you motivated by safety, teamwork, and protecting communities? Oakpark Security Systems LTD is looking for a dedicated Security Officer to join our Security Services team.
About the Role:
Based at FRED OLSEN HOUSE, Ipswich, IP1 5LL you will be working 16.5 hours a week - Saturday 8:30am - 6pm and Sunday 9:30am - 4:30pm. You'll play a key role in safeguarding sites, responding swiftly to incidents, and delivering a professional service that reassures our clients and upholds Oakpark's standards
Your responsibilities will include:
- Provides a professional front of house presence while maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for staff, visitors, and contractors.
- Responsible for greeting visitors, signing them in and out, and ensuring all site access procedures are followed.
- Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency services when required.
- Document all incidents accurately and report findings to management.
- Assist in the implementation of loss prevention strategies to minimise theft and damage.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism while interacting with clients, staff, and the public.
- Participate in ongoing training to enhance skills related to security practices and first aid.
Who are we looking for?
- Previous experience in a security role is preferred but not essential.
- Knowledge of first aid practices is highly desirable.
- Strong observational skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- A valid driving licence may be required depending on the location of duties.
