We are looking for a Senior Cyber Security Director to lead and enhance cyber security strategy across a complex financial services environment. This is a high-impact leadership role where you will work closely with senior executives, boards, regulators, and technology teams to drive cyber resilience, strengthen security controls, and ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute cyber security strategy aligned to business objectives and risk appetite.
- Act as the trusted security advisor to executive stakeholders and senior leadership teams.
- Lead cyber risk management, governance, and regulatory compliance activities.
- Oversee major cyber security incidents and drive effective response and remediation.
- Present security risks, controls, and strategic recommendations to boards and governance committees.
- Build strong relationships with regulators, auditors, and external stakeholders.
- Promote a security-first culture and champion continuous improvement across the organization.
- Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing cyber security teams.
- Extensive experience in Cyber Security, Information Security, Technology Risk, and Governance.
- Deep understanding of security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and regulatory requirements including GDPR and FCA standards.
- Proven experience engaging with Board-level executives, regulators, and senior business leaders.
- Strong background in incident response, cyber risk oversight, and security transformation initiatives.
- Demonstrated leadership of large-scale or global security teams within complex environments.
