Role Description
This is a full‑time, on‑site Flooring Supervisor role based in London. The Flooring Supervisor will oversee daily flooring and tiling installation activities, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and to company quality standards. Responsibilities include coordinating and guiding site teams, allocating tasks, and monitoring progress across multiple commercial, industrial, and residential projects. The role involves reading and interpreting drawings and specifications, ordering and managing materials, and ensuring tools and equipment are used correctly and safely. The Flooring Supervisor will conduct site inspections, enforce health and safety procedures, liaise with clients, contractors, and management, and prepare basic site reports, records, and updates on project status.
Qualifications
- Proven experience supervising tiling and commercial flooring installations, with strong practical knowledge of floor preparation, installation methods, and finishing standards.
- Solid site management abilities, including task planning, team coordination, scheduling, and problem‑solving in a construction environment.
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices on construction sites; CSCS card and SSSTS or SMSTS (or willingness to obtain) are highly desirable.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and method statements, and translate them into clear instructions for site teams.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
- Good organizational and record‑keeping skills for site documentation, progress reporting, and material and equipment tracking.
- Full UK driving license or reliable transport to reach various sites in London and surrounding areas.
- Previous experience in commercial, industrial, or residential flooring/tiling projects within the UK construction industry is an advantage.
