Are you a Physics graduate looking for a commercial/sales opportunity? If so, my client has an excellent opportunity for you. You will be paid a good basic salary with the chance to realistically earn c£10k a year on top of that in bonus. My client designs and manufactures a range of very complex physics-based Photonic devices that are used all over the world. They are looking for a Physics (or related subject) graduate to join their sales team. The vast majority of your role will be to handle inbound enquiries from companies interested in their products/services. They have a great track record of hiring Physics graduates and training/supporting them to become valuable members of their Sales team. This role will make excellent use of the Physics knowledge you’ve gained from your degree and will enable you to support their customers in selecting the right device/solution for them. They have a team of experts to support you with any technical issues you need help with. Responsibilities: Technical Sales Engineer – Physics Graduate Respond to enquiries and work with customers to maximise our order intake. Support the Head of Product Sales with campaigns focussed on new customer acquisition. Develop quotes, proposals and sales contracts consulting with the delivery team on operational matters. Support the Head of Product Sales with competitor intelligence and report new developments. Manage the sales reporting for the rest of the sales team and the CEO. Attend trade shows or conferences to exhibit products. Keep abreast of the latest products and trends. Liaise with marketing colleagues on campaigns and product launches. Support our website development. Skills/Experience – Technical Sales Engineer – Physics Graduate Relevant degree e.g. Physics, Optics, Materials Science Ability to work as an individual but can work as part of a team based in the UK. Ability to develop new long-term relationships with customers. Keen to learn and grow as an individual with the ability to pick up new skills and knowledge rapidly. Clear communication of complex problems to both customers and remote-based colleagues.
