A growing UK technology manufacturer is looking for a commercially minded Key Account Manager to manage and develop relationships with key customers across multiple specialist industrial electronic product divisions. You will need a strong background in the industrial electronic products/OEM sector and a proven Account Management background. This is a newly created, strategic, standalone Key Account Manager role. And it's expected that, once established, this person will build an Account Management team over time. This company has grown rapidly over the last 18 months and has ambitious strategic growth plans for the coming years. This is a high-impact customer-facing role focused on strategic account management, quotation management, customer retention, and cross-functional coordination within a highly technical engineering environment. You'll act as the main point of contact for established global customers, ensuring a seamless customer experience across a broad portfolio of advanced electronic, sensing, instrumentation and control technologies.
The Role
Working closely with Sales, Engineering, Operations and Customer Support teams, you will take ownership of key customer relationships while driving commercial growth and service excellence.
Main responsibilities include:
- Managing and developing strategic customer accounts
- Building long-term relationships with repeat and multinational customers
- Coordinating and managing technical quotations from enquiry through to follow-up
- Identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities across multiple product areas
- Working closely with engineering and production teams to resolve customer issues
- Supporting commercial negotiations, pricing agreements and supply arrangements
- Maintaining accurate CRM records, pipelines and forecasting data
- Delivering a consistently high-quality customer experience across all touchpoints
