Have you recently completed a PhD in photonics, optics, or laser physics and are keen to move into an industry role where you can apply your research in a practical setting? This position offers the chance to do exactly that within a highly respected technology business.
You will be joining an established company specialising in the development and manufacture of sophisticated laser and photonics solutions used in advanced scientific and industrial applications. The environment is technically driven, collaborative, and focused on continuous innovation.
In this role, you will work closely with experienced engineers and scientists on complex optical and laser-based systems. You will gain hands-on experience with advanced laboratory setups, support the development and optimisation of laser technologies, and contribute to solving challenging technical problems in real-world photonics applications.
The ideal candidate will possess a PhD in Photonics, Optics & Lasers, or a related subject. A strong foundation in these areas is essential, as is a keen analytical mind and a problem-solving attitude. Experience in building and manipulating laser setups will be highly advantageous, but full training will be given to the right candidate. Having a meticulous approach to troubleshooting and resolving technical issues would also be very useful.
This position offers a unique blend of hands-on technical work and collaborative problem-solving. The successful candidate will work closely with the Operations and Production teams, contributing to the development and refinement of innovative laser and photonic products.
