A growing engineering team in Colchester is looking for a Hardware Verification & Test Engineer to take ownership of validating complex electronic hardware throughout the full product lifecycle.
If you enjoy hands-on testing, structured verification, and deep technical debugging, this role gives you the autonomy to shape how products are tested, verified, and signed off for release.
What you'll be doing:
- Building and executing hardware verification plans and structured test cases
- Performing hands-on hardware testing across functional, performance, reliability, and stress domains
- Running environmental tests (thermal cycling, shock, vibration, humidity)
- Using oscilloscopes, logic analysers, multimeters, power supplies, and other lab equipment
- Debugging hardware issues down to component or subsystem level
- Working closely with hardware, firmware, and design teams to identify, track, and resolve defects
- Writing simple Python or Linux shell scripts to automate or support test activities
- Ensuring requirements traceability using Jama, DOORS, or similar tools
- Continuously improving verification coverage, processes, and test efficiency
What you'll bring:
