Are you an experienced Test Engineer with strong electronic fault-finding skills to component level? Our client is expanding their engineering team and looking for two Test Engineers to join their shop-floor operation. This is a hands-on role working with electronic assemblies, diagnostics, and test equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

About the Role

You’ll be responsible for testing, diagnosing, and validating electronic products to ensure they meet performance and quality standards. This includes working down to component level, interpreting schematics, and collaborating with production and engineering teams to resolve issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose faults down to component level on electronic assemblies
  • Conduct product testing and troubleshoot failures
  • Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documents
  • Use oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, and other test tools
  • Program electronic devices via PC-based tools
  • Maintain accurate test records and support process improvements
  • Work closely with production, engineering, and quality teams

What We’re Looking For

  • HNC or equivalent in Electronic Engineering
  • Strong component-level fault-finding capability
  • Confident reading schematics and circuit documentation
  • PC literate, with experience using test software or programming tools
  • Background in a production or test environment
  • RF experience is a strong advantage
