Exceptional Senior Power Electronic Design Engineer wanted! Verso is retained to add strength and depth to an established yet boutique leader in the development of custom power electronic solutions, destined for a variety of industries. Based from modern Hertfordshire offices, each project's variety and technical challenge is unique, offering an interesting and evolving way to apply your existing knowledge. There is the possibility for some hybrid working. The aim of the role is to create new design concepts to solve customer challenges and deliver products into production. Review and optimise existing products. The group is led by an experienced and well-regarded technical team. The culture is collaborative and friendly, with ample opportunity to liaise with the engineering team, quality, projects, procurement, sales, and other departments, with occasional customer interaction.
Responsibilities:
- Design and engineering of high-power switch mode power supplies (SMPS)
- Experience in developing, capturing, and reviewing system-level power requirements
- Power supply magnetics design experience, planar magnetics design experience an advantage
- Schematic capture and a deep understanding of PCB Layout (Altium)
- Manufacturing techniques, processes, and mechanical assembly understanding
- Experience in design calculations
- Ability to produce or assist in technical specifications, drawings, reports, instructions, and testing
- Experience of documentation to support verification and compliance
- Knowledge of manufacturing and MRP/ERP systems
In your current role, you might be a SMPS design engineer, PSU design engineer, power electronics engineer or electronics engineer with a bias towards power electronics.
