You must have a background in the Automotive sector with experience of CAN bus.
This is an excellent opportunity to join an innovative engineering business where you'll spend around 70% of your time designing electronics, whilst providing technical leadership/Management and project oversight for a team of four experienced Electronics Engineers. Rather than micromanaging the team, you'll be responsible for driving projects forward, ensuring delivery against key milestones, supporting technical decision-making and helping shape the future direction of the electronics function.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and mentoring a team of four experienced Electronics Engineers.
- Remaining hands-on with the design and development of electronic hardware.
- Managing multiple development projects, ensuring deadlines and project milestones are achieved.
- Designing a broad range of electronic circuits, with a strong emphasis on power electronics.
- Working across analogue and digital electronic design.
- Providing technical leadership throughout the full product development lifecycle processes and design methodologies.
We're looking for an experienced Electronics Engineer with both strong technical capability and proven leadership experience.
You’ll have:
- Proven experience leading or managing an electronics engineering team.
- A broad background in electronic hardware design.
- Strong experience in power electronics (DC-DC converters, power supplies, LED drivers or similar).
- Experience across analogue and digital circuit design.
- Experience managing engineering projects and coordinating multiple workstreams.
- Automotive electronics experience.
- CAN Bus knowledge.
