A well‑established manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Welder to support the fabrication of precision parts and sub‑assemblies. This is a hands‑on, production‑critical role where you’ll cut, prepare, and weld a range of metals, particularly aluminium and stainless steel, to tight tolerances and engineering specifications. You’ll work closely with fabrication and engineering teams to maintain workflow, uphold quality standards, and ensure components are produced accurately and on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Cut, prepare, and weld metals to fabricate parts and sub‑assemblies in line with engineering drawings.
- Weld aluminium and stainless steel to a high standard, ensuring strong, clean, and consistent finishes.
- Operate fabrication tools and equipment safely, including saws, grinders, and welding machinery.
- Work closely with engineering and production teams to clarify requirements, resolve issues, and maintain smooth workflow.
- Inspect completed welds and assemblies to ensure they meet quality, dimensional, and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and follow internal processes for traceability and quality control.
