A leading engineering organisation in Surrey is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to take ownership of complex mechanical systems from concept through to production. This position offers the chance to work on high‑integrity, performance‑critical products where innovation, precision, and engineering excellence are central to the work.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical design of assemblies and components involving actuators, hydraulics, or motion‑control systems
- Produce high‑quality 3D models and detailed drawings using a modern 3D CAD package (SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor, or similar)
- Drive concept development, prototyping, testing, and design validation
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including electronics, manufacturing, and systems engineering
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and peer review for junior engineers

About You
