Are you an experienced Electronics Engineer looking to work on cutting-edge projects within the Defence industry? My client, a leading electronics OEM based in Portland, Dorset, is seeking a skilled engineer to join their growing design team.
In this role, you’ll take system requirements and turn them into innovative, reliable, and compliant electronic design solutions. You’ll be part of a highly skilled engineering team delivering high-quality products and systems that make a real impact.
What you’ll be doing
Designing and developing electronic solutions, from architecture through to detailed design.
Collaborating with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure successful outcomes.
Considering design for manufacture and test to ensure smooth production handover.
Integrating and testing systems, including hands-on fault finding and troubleshooting.
Working with external test houses to achieve CE/UKCA and MoD compliance.
Producing high-quality technical documentation (schematics, BOMs, change notes).
Providing occasional offsite support for installation and maintenance activities.
What you’ll need
Degree (or equivalent) in Electronics Engineering or a related discipline.
Ability to obtain UK Security Clearance (essential).
Broad experience across analogue and digital circuit design, ideally including:
Low-noise power supply and distribution circuitry
Analogue signal conditioning
Data acquisition systems
Digital interfacing and FPGA-based control
Understanding of design for EMC compliance.
