Job Description
As a Test Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of the Integrated Systems we use to run and grow Version 1. You’ll lead the testing efforts and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive efficient and effective testing processes. Your expertise in automated testing tools, processes and frameworks will be instrumental in achieving our quality goals.
Responsibilities
- Test Strategy and Planning: Develop and execute the overall test strategy for SaaS applications, considering both manual and automated testing approaches. Collaborate with stakeholders to define testing objectives, scope, and success criteria. Create detailed test plans, including resource allocation, timelines, and risk assessments.
- Test Automation: Design, implement, and maintain automated test scripts using modern tools and frameworks. Ensure test scripts cover critical functionality, regression scenarios, and performance aspects. Integrate automated tests into the continuous integration / continuous deployment (CI / CD) pipeline.
- Test Leadership: Lead and mentor others in the team, including Business Stakeholders, manual testers, automation engineers, and performance testers. Set clear expectations, assign tasks, and monitor progress. Foster a collaborative and positive work environment.
- Test Execution and Reporting: Execute test cases (both manual and automated) to validate SaaS features and functionality. Monitor test execution progress, identify bottlenecks, and address issues promptly. Provide regular status updates and detailed test reports to project stakeholders.
- Defect Management: Collaborate with application owners and development teams to prioritize and track defects. Ensure timely resolution of critical defects impacting quality. Conduct root cause analysis for recurring issues.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging tools related to automated testing. Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains. Drive initiatives to enhance testing practices across the organization.
- Stakeholder Interaction: Engage with stakeholders to understand their testing requirements and expectations. Communicate testing progress, results, and any potential risks to stakeholders effectively.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Test Manager or similar role, preferably in a large-scale software development environment.
- Strong knowledge of automated testing tools (Selenium, Robot Framework) and test automation best practices.
- Familiarity with SaaS applications and cloud-based technologies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- ISTQB or other relevant certifications are a plus.
