We are seeking a versatile Service Designer to join us permanently. The ideal candidate will work effectively within multidisciplinary, agile teams on GDS projects for our public sector clients. Your role involves collaborating with users and stakeholders to design products and services, considering whole journey experiences and individual design components. A strong portfolio demonstrating user understanding, adherence to design standards, and effective communication of design decisions is essential.
Please note: Eligibility for Security Clearance is required, typically necessitating 5 years of continuous UK address history, with no periods of 30 days or more outside the UK.
Qualifications and Skills- Strong understanding of design thinking and evidence-based design approaches.
- Experience in conducting user research and collaborating with user researchers to ensure usability and accessibility.
- Ability to create and iterate prototypes, evaluate concepts, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Knowledge of accessible and inclusive design principles, with the ability to evaluate designs against accessibility standards.
- Understanding of design standards relevant to the sector, including UK public sector standards and GDS assessment processes.
- Proven consultancy skills in communicating design processes and managing stakeholders.
- Experience working within agile, multidisciplinary teams, aligning design work with agile workflows.
