Senior JD Edwards (JDE) Functional Consultant – Manufacturing and Distribution

We’re looking for an experienced JD Edwards Functional Consultant who’s not just a problem‑solver, but a people leader – someone who thrives on mentoring others, driving service excellence, and making a real impact for global customers.
In this customer‑facing role you’ll combine hands‑on functional consulting within Manufacturing and Distribution domains with team leadership responsibilities. You’ll manage a group of JDE consultants and analysts, ensuring effective delivery of high‑quality managed services while driving continuous improvement and customer satisfaction, and ensuring incidents, service requests and change initiatives are delivered on time, within SLA and to the highest standard.
What You’ll Do
Functional Consulting
- Lead the analysis, design, configuration and implementation of JDE modules including Manufacturing (Shop Floor Control, Work Orders, Product Costing) and Distribution (Inventory Management, Sales Order Management, Procurement).
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements, conduct gap analyses and recommend process improvements.
- Support full solution delivery – testing, training and deployment.
People Leadership
- Manage and mentor a team of JDE support consultants and analysts.
- Conduct quarterly performance reviews, allocate resources and support professional growth.
- Ensure timely case resolution and accurate client invoicing through effective oversight.
- Foster a positive, collaborative, high‑performance team culture.
Service Excellence
- Oversee incident, problem and change management through our ServiceNow‑based system, Engage.
- Ensure adherence to ITIL best practices and continuous service improvement.
- Act as an escalation point for complex functional issues.
Customer & Stakeholder Engagement
- Build strong customer relationships through proactive communication and regular service reviews.
- Collaborate closely with Service Delivery Managers, Account Managers and technical teams to ensure seamless delivery.
- Present functional designs, updates and performance insights to senior leadership and clients.
Qualifications
What You’ll Bring
Required Skills & Experience
- Extensive hands‑on experience with JD Edwards ERP (Manufacturing & Distribution focus).
- Background in a people management or team leadership role.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing and supply chain business processes.
- Experience with ITSM platforms (ServiceNow, Jira, etc.) and working knowledge of ITIL principles.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and problem‑solving skills.
- Organised, analytical, and process‑oriented with a passion for service improvement.
Preferred Qualifications
- JDE certification in relevant modules.
- ITIL Foundation (or higher).
- Experience with ERP upgrades or migrations.
- Familiarity with integrations between JDE and other enterprise systems.
