Job Description
As a Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) Technical Consultant, you will lead the design, development, and delivery of Oracle Cloud PaaS integrations across Oracle Fusion Cloud (ERP, HCM, SCM) and external systems.
You will work closely with Solution Architects, Functional Leads, and Client Stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and performant integration solutions leveraging OIC, Oracle SaaS APIs, and complementary OCI services.
This role demands strong hands-on expertise in Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), Process Automation, Oracle Visual Builder, and exposure to technologies such as Oracle Autonomous Database, Oracle API Gateway, and OCI Vault.
You are expected to mentor junior developers, own technical deliverables, and drive best practices for integration and automation.
Key Responsibilities:
You will be:
- Designing and building integrations using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) including Application Integration (Orchestration), Scheduled Integrations, and File-based Integrations
- Developing REST/SOAP-based integrations between Oracle Fusion Cloud (ERP/HCM/SCM) and on-premises/cloud applications
- Implementing B2B flows (if applicable), error handling, retry mechanisms, and OIC monitoring/logging best practices
- Utilising Oracle Visual Builder for custom UIs and Oracle Process Automation (OPA) for workflow orchestration (where needed)
- Working with Oracle SaaS services (ERP, HCM, SCM) to consume OTBI, BICC, FBDI, HDL, and PVOs for integration scenarios
- Designing and configuring security components such as OCI Vault, Secrets, Certificates, and OAuth2 flows
- Collaborating with clients on data mapping, transformation logic, and interface contracts
- Driving performance tuning and optimisation for long-running integrations and large payload handling
- Conducting code reviews, enforce standards, and guide junior developers and offshore teams
- Troubleshooting production issues and provide HyperCare/post-go-live support
- Preparing design documents, integration specifications, and deployment artefacts
- Supporting DevOps pipelines and CI/CD automation for OIC code promotion (optional but desirable)
Qualifications
You will have:
- Technical experience in Oracle integration technologies, including Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC)
- Strong knowledge of Oracle SaaS APIs (ERP/HCM/SCM), including REST/SOAP endpoints, security tokens, and web service catalogues
- Experience with Oracle BI Publisher (BIP), OTBI, and BICC data extract integration
- Hands-on expertise in XML, XSLT, XPath, JSON, SOAP, REST, and SQL
- Familiarity with Oracle SaaS data models and common business processes (e.g., AP/AR/PO/GL, HR/Payroll)
- Experience with OIC connectivity to external platforms (e.g., Azure, SAP, Salesforce, Workday)
- Strong understanding of authentication protocols (OAuth2, Basic, API Key) and OCI Vault management
- Experience with troubleshooting and debugging OIC flows using diagnostic logs, audit trails, and activity streams
- Excellent communication skills, stakeholder management, and ability to lead technical discussions
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with Oracle Visual Builder and Oracle Process Automation (OPA)
- Familiarity with OCI Services: Object Storage, API Gateway, Functions, Autonomous DB (ATP/ADW), Stream Pools
- Experience with Oracle Cloud DevOps pipelines or Jenkins/GitHub CI-CD for OIC promotion
- Integration with on-prem Oracle EBS (R12), custom databases, or legacy file servers via Agents or SFTP
- Knowledge of Version 1’s Maximise/CloudBridge or similar migration/integration accelerators
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related discipline
- Oracle certifications in OIC or Oracle Cloud Platform (preferred but not mandatory)
- SC clearance eligibility or prior experience in public sector (desirable)
