About the Programme

This trainee role is designed for early-career technologists who want to build a career in Oracle Cloud delivery. No prior Oracle experience is required. We provide structured training, certification sponsorship, and mentoring from experienced consultants and architects. You will begin by supporting live client projects under supervision and progressively develop the skills and confidence to deliver independently.

Eligibility: Candidates must have the legal right to work in the UK at the time of application. Candidates must also be eligible to obtain the required security clearance, which typically requires a minimum of three consecutive years of UK residency immediately prior to the date of application.

Based on your aptitude, interests, and business needs, you will join one of two specialisation streams:

  • Data Migration & Reporting
  • Integrations & Extensions

What You Will Learn and Do

Core Foundations (All Trainees)

  • Oracle Fusion Cloud fundamentals across ERP and HCM
  • Technical documentation and project delivery standards
  • Working within delivery teams on real client programmes
  • Data security, governance, and quality best practices
  • Version control using Git

Stream A: Data Migration & Reporting

  • Loading and validating data in Oracle Fusion using FBDI and HDL
  • Building reports and dashboards using BI Publisher (BIP) and OTBI
  • Extracting and analysing data using BICC
  • Writing SQL queries to validate and reconcile datasets
  • Ensuring data quality, accuracy, and auditability across environments

Stream B: Integrations & Extensions

  • Building integrations using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC)
  • Consuming and configuring REST and SOAP APIs
  • Developing simple user interfaces using Visual Builder (VBCS)
  • Creating backend solutions using Oracle APEX and PL/SQL
  • Monitoring integrations and troubleshooting common errors

Qualifications

Essential Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline; alternatively, demonstrable technical aptitude through projects, apprenticeships, bootcamps, or self-study
  • Basic knowledge of at least one programming or scripting language (such as SQL, Java, Python, or JavaScript)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • A willingness to learn Oracle Cloud technologies and work towards Oracle certifications
  • Right to work in the UK and eligibility to obtain security clearance (where required)

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Any exposure to databases or SQL
  • Any exposure to APIs, cloud platforms, or reporting tools
  • Placement year, internship, or project work in software or data
