Job Description

HR Business Analyst

Are you an HR Business Analyst who loves solving problems, shaping smarter processes, and turning complex business needs into elegant system solutions? Do you want a role where your work directly improves the employee experience and drives meaningful organisational change? If that sounds like you, this opportunity will excite you.

We’re looking for a high-performing HR Business Analyst who wants to play a pivotal role at the intersection of HR, technology, and business transformation. In this role, you won’t just gather requirements—you’ll influence how HR operates, how data flows, and how digital tools enable people across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements Gathering & Analysis

  • Partner with HR stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into clear functional and technical requirements.
  • Document current-state processes and identify opportunities for optimisation, automation, and standardisation.
  • Perform gap analyses to assess alignment between business requirements and system capabilities.

Solution Design & Support

  • Collaborate with HRIS and technology teams to design, enhance, and configure HR systems (e.g., Oracle HCM Cloud, Workday, SAP SuccessFactors).
  • Support testing activities—including unit, system, and user acceptance testing—and ensure timely resolution of defects.
  • Assist with data migration, validation, and reporting activities to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Facilitate workshops, interviews, and meetings to capture insights and share project updates.
  • Produce high-quality documentation, including process maps, functional specifications, and user guides.

Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor HR system performance and identify areas for enhancement.
  • Keep up to date with HR technology trends, tools, and best practices to recommend improvements and innovation.

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience analysing HR processes and supporting HR technology initiatives.
  • Familiarity with key HR platforms (with Oracle HCM Cloud preferred) and solid understanding of data management principles.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation capabilities.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting HR transformation or end-to-end system implementation projects.
  • Knowledge of reporting tools and data visualisation techniques.
  • Relevant certifications such as CBAP, HRIS Certifications, or Business Analysis qualifications.

Why Version 1?

  • Strong career progression & mentorship through our Strength in Balance and leadership programmes.
  • Significant training budget for certifications and further education.

  • Moments that matter & enhanced maternity/paternity leave policies to support your journey.
  • Active ESG & CSR initiatives, allowing you to give back through fundraising, volunteering, and diversity, inclusion & belonging programmes.

Benefits

  • Quarterly performance-related profit share
  • Hybrid / Remote working flexibility
  • Pension, private healthcare, life assurance cover
  • Certified Great Place to Work for 10+ years running

This is hybrid based with occasional travel to your nearest base office.
