Version 1 is seeking an experienced Oracle ERP Test Manager to support the delivery of large-scale ERP transformation programmes on an Outside IR35 contract basis. We are looking for a hands-on testing leader with a proven track record managing complex ERP testing deliveries across integrated Finance and Payroll landscapes. While Oracle ERP Cloud experience is highly desirable, we are also open to candidates with deep expertise across other Tier 1 ERP platforms including SAP, Workday, or Microsoft Dynamics.

The Role

As Test Manager, you will take ownership of the end-to-end testing lifecycle across enterprise ERP programmes, ensuring quality delivery, governance, and successful business outcomes. You will work closely with programme leadership, client stakeholders, technical delivery teams, and third-party partners to coordinate and drive all testing activities across complex integrated environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and deliver testing strategies, plans, schedules, and governance frameworks
  • Lead all phases of testing including:
    • System Integration Testing (SIT)
    • User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
    • Regression Testing
    • Defect Management and Resolution
  • Manage testing delivery across ERP implementation and upgrade programmes
  • Coordinate testing across integrated Finance, Payroll, and wider enterprise systems
  • Oversee defect triage, risk management, reporting, and issue resolution activities
  • Review and assure quality of key testing artefacts including scripts, logs, defects, and summary reports
  • Drive continuous improvement and testing best practices across delivery teams
  • Support the adoption of automation frameworks and modern testing approaches where appropriate
  • Manage stakeholder communications, governance forums, and programme reporting
  • Ensure testing delivery aligns with agreed client standards and programme methodologies

Qualifications Experience Required

  • Proven experience as a Test Manager within enterprise ERP transformation programmes
  • Strong experience delivering at least one full end-to-end ERP implementation lifecycle
  • Oracle ERP Cloud experience highly desirable
  • Alternatively, strong Test Management experience across:
    • SAP
    • Workday
    • Microsoft Dynamics
    • Other Tier 1 ERP platforms
  • Strong understanding of Finance and Payroll business processes
  • Expertise in test governance, defect management, and quality assurance frameworks
  • Experience managing testing across complex integrated landscapes
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Strong organisational and delivery management capability
  • Experience working within consulting or client-facing environments desirable
  • Exposure to test automation tools and frameworks advantageous
