Job Description

Role Overview

The Commercial Director – Oracle will lead the commercial strategy, sales growth, and business development activities related to Oracle solutions and services.

The role involves identifying new business opportunities, managing key client relationships, negotiating complex commercial agreements, and collaborating with delivery and technology teams to ensure successful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Commercial Leadership
  • Develop and execute Oracle-focused commercial and sales strategies.
  • Drive revenue growth and profitability across Oracle services and solutions.
  • Manage pipeline development, forecasting, and sales performance.
  • Identify market opportunities and emerging Oracle technologies.
  • Business Development
  • Build and maintain relationships with enterprise clients.
  • Lead strategic pursuits and major bids.
  • Develop account growth plans for existing Oracle customers.
  • Collaborate with Oracle account teams to generate new opportunities.
  • Client Engagement
  • Act as a trusted advisor to C-level stakeholders.
  • Understand client business challenges and align Oracle solutions accordingly.
  • Lead executive presentations and commercial negotiations.
  • Bid and Proposal Management
  • Oversee RFP, RFQ, and tender responses.
  • Develop commercial models, pricing strategies, and contract negotiations.
  • Ensure proposals are competitive and aligned with business objectives.
  • Partner & Vendor Management
  • Maintain strong relationships with Oracle and strategic partners.
  • Manage Oracle partnership initiatives and alliance activities.
  • Monitor partner performance and growth opportunities.
  • Financial Management
  • Achieve revenue and margin targets.
  • Monitor sales forecasts and pipeline health.
  • Support budgeting and strategic planning activities.

Qualifications

  • Required Experience
  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise software sales, consulting, or commercial leadership.
  • Strong experience selling Oracle solutions and services.
  • Proven track record of achieving revenue targets.
  • Experience leading complex commercial negotiations and large-scale deals.
  • Strong understanding of Oracle Cloud, ERP, HCM, SCM, EPM, Database, or OCI solutions.
  • Experience working with enterprise and public-sector customers.
