Are you ready to take your Oracle EPM Planning expertise to the next level? Version 1 is looking for an experienced Senior Oracle EPM Cloud (Planning) Functional Consultant to drive strategic cloud planning and budgeting transformations.

Why This Role is a Game-Changer:

  • You will lead flagship Oracle Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service (PBCS/EPBCS) implementations end-to-end: from gathering requirements and designing models through to build, integration, testing, and post-go-live support.
  • You will deliver business-critical planning solutions: work closely with finance teams on driver-based planning, workforce and CapEx planning, management reporting, and forecast cycles.
  • You will implement smart automations: use Smart View, Data Management, Groovy rules, and EPM Automate, and build forms, dashboards, and business rules for dynamic planning processes.
  • Own client relationships: manage expectations, facilitate design workshops, deliver training, and guide clients through quarterly patch updates.

What We’re Looking For:

  • You will be a seasoned Oracle Planning Cloud specialist with a minimum of two full lifecycle planning projects.
  • You will have hands-on expertise in model design, form creation, calculations, allocation logic, Smart View, and Data Management.
  • Proven ability to design integrated planning solutions that connect to source ERP data and other EPM modules.
  • Strong communicator: you build trust with finance stakeholders, run engaging workshops, and deliver clear documentation.
  • Highly organised, self-motivated, and comfortable managing multiple planning workstreams in a dynamic cloud environment.

Bonus skills: exposure to Workforce, CapEx, Projects or Strategic Modelling, experience with REST APIs and Groovy scripting, or migrating from Hyperion Planning to EPM Cloud.

SC Clearance – Essential: This role mandates you have SC clearance or eligibility, with a requirement of minimum 2 years UK residency —opening doors to high-security, government-backed Cloud projects.

Join a Fast-Growing Practice: Be part of Version 1’s rapidly expanding Oracle EPM and Cloud team, delivering impactful projects across finance, public sector, healthcare, and manufacturing.

In addition, you will be:

  • Leading and implementing Oracle Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service (PBCS/EPBCS) solutions.
  • Overseeing requirements definition, design, and gap analysis for planning models and driver-based calculations.
  • Leading application configuration, including forms, dashboards, business rules, and workflows.
  • Driving functional support for technical activities such as data integration, mapping, and automations.
  • Facilitating solution validation workshops with key business stakeholders.
  • Overseeing testing support, training delivery, post-go-live support, and other related aspects of functional implementation advice and guidance.

Qualifications:

  • You will have strong functional experience with Oracle Planning Cloud (minimum two full project cycles preferred).
  • Proven ability to manage on-time project delivery and client expectations, ensuring internal customer satisfaction.
  • Hands-on design of calculation scripts, Groovy rules, allocations, and forecast scenarios.
  • Experience building and optimising forms, dashboards, and reports in Smart View.
  • Familiarity with Data Management for source system integrations.
  • Knowledge of EPM Automate commands (REST APIs and Groovy scripting desirable).
  • Experience working directly with Finance FP&A teams and business stakeholders.
  • Comfortable with Oracle Cloud quarterly updates and supporting clients through patch testing.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks across configuration, testing support, and client workshops.
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Providing status and issue reports to the project manager/client on a regular basis.
  • Organised, self-motivated, and delivery-focused.

Desirable Experience:

  • Accountancy qualification or financial background.
  • Exposure to other EPM Cloud modules such as FCCS, ARCS, EDMCS, or Tax Reporting.
  • Experience migrating from Hyperion Planning to Oracle Cloud Planning.
  • Familiarity with REST APIs and Groovy scripting for automation and integration.

This is an opportunity to join one of the fastest-growing Oracle ERP Consultancies in Ireland & the UK.
