Role Purpose
The Delivery Principal is a key leadership role responsible for the successful delivery of projects and driving growth within a client account. This role oversees the delivery of complex solutions and services, including application modernisation and digital transformation initiatives, leveraging cloud technologies (Azure, AWS). The Delivery Principal works closely with cross‑functional teams and clients to ensure the highest standards of governance, quality, and client satisfaction throughout the lifecycle of large and complex projects, and plays a critical role in revenue forecasting and financial tracking. The role also includes line‑management responsibilities and requires a deep understanding of both Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies to drive continuous delivery and improve project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Successful Delivery Management: Lead and oversee the end‑to‑end delivery of complex projects within the Private Sector. Ensure effective governance, quality standards, and metrics for successful outcomes. Drive digital transformation solutions focusing on application modernisation, cloud adoption, and service/product/platform delivery.
- Account Growth and Development: Partner with clients to drive account growth through successful project delivery and by identifying new opportunities. Drive business development activities, including presales, written bid responses, and formal client presentations. Develop and nurture client relationships for long‑term partnerships and repeat business.
- Revenue Forecasting and Financial Management: Own the revenue forecasting process for accounts with accurate and timely projections. Track actual project performance against forecast and address discrepancies. Develop and implement Plan B to close gaps when actuals fall behind forecast.
- Cross‑functional Collaboration: Work as part of a cross‑functional team and coordinate multi‑supplier engagements.
- Team Leadership and Development: Lead, motivate, and empower large delivery teams to perform at their best. Support development through coaching, mentoring, and feedback.
- Client Communication and Negotiation: Serve as primary point of contact for clients, providing strategic guidance. Negotiate effectively with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
- Solution Delivery Excellence: Apply user research and design thinking disciplines to meet user needs. Continuously monitor performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Agile and Waterfall Delivery Approach: Leverage knowledge of both Agile and Waterfall to guide teams in selecting best approach. Lead with Agile practices for iterative progress, or Waterfall for structured delivery as appropriate. Ensure appropriate practices are applied at right stages of each project.

Qualifications
Key Qualifications
- Experience: Significant experience driving delivery in Private or Public Sector. Experience with Pharma & Life Sciences or Manufacturing preferred. Proven track record of application modernisation and digital transformation with cloud. Experience in delivering applications, services, products, or platforms – at least 3 of 4 categories. Strong background managing large, complex teams and multi‑supplier engagements.
- Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and client engagement at all levels. Strong commercial awareness and deep understanding of multi‑supplier projects. Experience in presales, business development, bid responses, and formal presentations. Apply user research & design thinking for solution delivery. Financial acumen – accurate forecasting & budget management. Deep experience with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies. Line‑management experience – mentoring, performance management.
