Version 1 is looking to expand our wide network of clients and verticals. For this purpose, we have created a new Commercial Director for Strategic Alliances role β focused on growth led business development initiatives across Version 1βs strategic technology partners and supporting the rapid growth of Version 1 in the UK. As Commercial Director for Strategic Alliances, you will lead business development efforts with our Technological Partners (Oracle, Microsoft, AWS, and potential others as the role evolves). Your role will include generating qualified business development opportunities for the Sales Team to execute upon, through identifying, engaging, nurturing, and converting prospects using your own communication strategies and focus on Version 1 partnerships.
You will have an exciting opportunity to deliver on our strategy to accelerate digital, data and cloud opportunities and develop business growth through our technology partners and develop and execute growth plans, leading to healthy business pipeline, joint customer wins and market success across Public & Private Sectors. You should have a multi-faceted background to succeed in this position including a strong understanding of the consulting business, selling IT services and consulting projects into public and enterprise customers.
Responsibilities- Understand our Partnersβ strategy and help build and drive awareness initiatives around our capabilities to support differentiation, customer wins, and market success.
- Building strong alliances between our technology partners and our organisation with a view to build and develop business plans which serve as blueprints to drive opportunity and revenue growth.
- Drive partner pipeline and customer wins through focused sales plays, GTMs, and campaigns, and consistently deliver qualified opportunities to support Version 1 revenue targets.
- Work with our practice (technical teams) to identify, develop, and launch value add solutions/offerings which showcase Version 1 capabilities and our Partner technologies.
- Support Version 1's expansion in new geographies, vertical segments, and use cases by aligning with respective Partner teams and growth strategies.
- Work with our Sales Team and Partner Marketing Team to develop targeted lead generation campaigns.
- Drive processes using CRM and maintain leads and data.
- Bring creative ideas to the table as to how to generate new leads/opportunities for the Sales team.
- Demonstrable experience in pro-active lead qualification, internal sales or a service-oriented role with strong sales orientation.
- Degree (or equivalent) in Business or Marketing.
- Strong customer service focus and understanding of technology partnership models in the technology sector. Specific understanding/relationships with Microsoft and AWS a clear advantage.
- Working knowledge of Marketing and Sales best practices in lead qualifying and nurturing.
- High level of understanding of the Sales funnel.
- Experience in managing and utilising a CRM.
- Proven track record of success in fast-paced environment.
- Team player - demonstrate an ability to develop strong relationships with work partners and team members.
