Position Overview: As a Senior Power Platform Developer, you will play a key role in designing, building, and delivering modern, AI-driven business applications. A significant part of the role involves developing intelligent Copilot Studio agents, integrating them with enterprise data and services, and ensuring they operate securely and responsibly. You will work across the wider Power Platform and Microsoft 365 ecosystem, contributing high-quality technical solutions while supporting customers, colleagues, and project teams. This role is hands-on, suited to someone who thrives in solution delivery, works confidently with stakeholders, and stays close to the technical detail.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and enhance Copilot Studio agents including topics, generative answers, orchestration, actions, API connection, validating value quickly with stakeholders.
- Have in depth understanding of SharePoint / M365 (lists, libraries, site structure, permissions) and to guide use case development.
- Deliver high-quality solutions across the Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Pages, Dataverse).
- Work closely with architects, product owners, and business stakeholders to refine requirements and produce scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions.
- Implement appropriate ALM practices including environment strategy, solution layering, source control, and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps).
- Integrate with APIs/third‑party services; contribute to patterns for secure connector usage and custom connector development.
- Ensure solutions meet non-functional requirements such as performance, accessibility, security, resilience, and maintainability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across the Power Platform and the wider Microsoft cloud ecosystem.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, estimation, sprint planning, and client workshops.
- Document and knowledge‑transfer: produce pragmatic documentation and handover materials for client teams.
Qualifications:
Essential experience & skills:
- Hands‑on expertise with Power Platform: significant experience (generally ~4+ years) delivering solutions with Power Apps and Power Automate.
- Copilot Studio experience building copilots (topics, generative answers, actions), connecting to data and services, and applying responsible AI & security controls.
- SharePoint configuration proficiency (lists, content types, permissions, governance) and integration with Power Platform.
- ALM & DevOps: environment strategy, solution layering, pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps) for CI/CD, and backlog/work tracking.
- Testing mindset with tools and approaches suited to Power Platform solutions.
- Understanding and application of non‑functional requirements (performance, security, resilience, accessibility).
- Clear, confident communicator able to engage business and technical stakeholders alike.
Desirable Skills:
- Familiarity with development fundamentals in the Microsoft stack (.NET/C#, TypeScript/JavaScript) is beneficial.
- API integration, and working with data stores (Dataverse, SQL, SharePoint).
- Dynamics 365 (CE) experience.
- Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., PL‑900/100/200/400, AI-900).
- Power BI exposure (reports, embedding) and Azure Integration Services (Functions, Service Bus, Logic Apps).
- Teams app development, UX/Accessibility awareness.
