Job Description
We are seeking a Delivery Manager to lead large, complex, multi-workstream cloud transformation programs for AWS Pro Serve.
This role requires a seasoned Agile leader who can establish scaled Agile practices, mentor teams, and drive strategic outcomes.
The ideal candidate combines deep Agile expertise with strategic thinking, technical depth, and the ability to influence at executive levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scaled Agile frameworks for large, multi-workstream engagements
- Establish program-level ceremonies including Scrum of Scrums, PI Planning, and program increment reviews
- Lead and optimize Agile practices across multiple concurrent sprint teams
- Coach Engagement Managers and team leads on advanced Agile facilitation techniques
- Analyze program-level metrics (velocity trends, predictability, flow efficiency) to drive strategic improvements
- Facilitate dependency management and integration planning across workstreams
- Establish Agile Centers of Excellence and define best practices for AWS Pro Serve delivery
- Drive continuous improvement through program-level retrospectives and process optimization
- Implement Agile governance and reporting frameworks for executive stakeholders
- Rescue distressed programs by restructuring Agile practices and team dynamics
- Strategic Program Leadership
- Own, lead, and shape large and/or complex engagements to deliver transformational business outcomes
- Develop delivery strategies using multiple frameworks (Agile, SAFe, Dev Ops, Cloud Adoption)
- Lead multi-workstream engagements with matrixed teams across geographies
- Force multiply by dramatically increasing team effectiveness and delivery capacity
- Maximize engagement value by negotiating scope and timeline within constraints
- Navigate unexpected challenges and ambiguity with limited guidance
- Understand and apply change management and organizational transformation principles

- Lead lifecycle of complex technical engagements with sophisticated AWS architectures
- Validate technical solutions meet business objectives and engagement goals
- Articulate AWS framework perspectives and phases; educate teams and customers
- Demonstrate deep understanding of AWS services, partner ecosystems, and emerging technologies
- Guide technology/business trade-offs toward scalable, long-term solutions
- Participate in architectural reviews and recognize when principal-level review is required
- Influence AWS service team roadmap prioritization based on customer needs
- Process Innovation & Organizational Impact
- Create and optimize cross-team processes to accelerate delivery
- Establish operational excellence standards across multiple engagements
- Develop mechanisms for consistent management of matrixed teams
- Define and share EM best practices across AWS Pro Serve Portfolio

- Actively mentor and develop Associate and Staff Engagement Managers

Qualifications
Experience
- 7+ years of relevant industry experience in complex technical program delivery
- Successfully led at least one complex, multi-workstream technical program end-to‑end
- Proven experience implementing scaled Agile frameworks (SAFe, Le SS, or similar)
- Track record of rescuing distressed programs and driving turnarounds
- Experience leading customers to define and expand business strategy and outcomes
- Demonstrated ability to lead Risk and Issue analysis and resolution
- Agile & Program Management Mastery
- Expert in scaled Agile frameworks and program-level ceremony facilitation
- Proven ability to design and implement Agile practices for large, complex programs
- Deep experience with program-level metrics, reporting, and governance
- Strong track record coaching teams and establishing Agile Centers of Excellence
- Experience managing dependencies across 5+ concurrent sprint teams
- Skilled at Agile transformation and organizational change management
- Advanced proficiency with Agile tools, dashboards, and portfolio management
- Technical & Architectural Expertise
- Deep understanding of AWS services, architectures, and partner ecosystems
- Ability to guide complex technical trade-offs and architectural decisions
- Experience with cloud migration, modernization, and transformation at scale
- Understanding of various technologies beyond AWS (hybrid, multi-cloud, on‑premises)

- Background leading digital transformation or organizational change programs
