We are seeking a hands-on Lead Oracle Fusion Cloud Integration Consultant with strong Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) expertise and proven experience delivering integrations across Oracle Fusion Cloud and wider enterprise systems. This is a client-facing technical leadership role centred on Oracle Integration Cloud delivery. The consultant will lead integration design and delivery, define reusable interface patterns, support technical governance, and remain hands-on across build, testing, deployment and defect resolution activities. The role also includes exposure to Oracle Fusion extensions and workflow tooling. VBCS, Oracle Process Automation (OPA)/Process Cloud Service (PCS) experience is desirable at junior level. The successful candidate should be willing and able to learn these areas quickly and support extension or process automation activities where required.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end design, build and delivery of integrations between Oracle Fusion Cloud and internal or external enterprise systems using Oracle Integration Cloud.
- Define practical and reusable integration patterns covering synchronous APIs, asynchronous orchestration, scheduled processing, event-based flows and file-based interfaces.
- Produce and maintain integration design artefacts, including interface catalogues, mapping specifications, transformation rules, error-handling designs, deployment notes and operational support documentation.
- Build and optimise OIC integrations using app-driven orchestrations, scheduled integrations, bulk processing patterns, REST and SOAP services, SFTP/file-based interfaces, Oracle Fusion adapters and enterprise application adapters, JSON, XML, XSLT, XPath and schema-based transformations.
- Implement robust error handling, replay, recovery and operational support patterns covering technical failures, business validation failures, rejected records and downstream availability issues.
- Support performance tuning for high-volume integrations, including batching, pagination, payload optimisation, parallel processing and appropriate use of asynchronous patterns.
- Implement secure integration patterns using OAuth2, certificates, keys, PGP encryption, secure FTP, allow-listed connectivity and OIC connectivity agents where required.
- Support environment configuration, migration between environments, deployment sequencing and release readiness for OIC artefacts.
Fusion Interface & Data Alignment
- Work closely with Fusion functional and data migration teams to confirm source and target objects, interface ownership, business rules, error handling and reconciliation requirements.
- Design integrations that align with Fusion ERP/HCM/EPM interface options, including REST/SOAP APIs, FBDI, HDL, BICC extracts, BI Publisher outputs and scheduled ESS jobs.
- Ensure integration outputs support reconciliation, auditability, traceability and operational reporting requirements.
- Support defect triage across Fusion, OIC and external system boundaries, including analysis of payloads, logs, transformations and downstream responses.
VBCS and OPA/PCS Support
- Support VBCS-based extension activities where required, such as minor page updates, service connection configuration, UI changes and integration with existing OIC services.
- Develop working familiarity with Oracle Process Automation (OPA)/Process Cloud Service (PCS), with the expectation of learning and supporting workflow/process automation use cases under guidance.
- Work with senior extension or process automation specialists where complex UI, workflow or business process design is required.
- Apply agreed standards for role-based access, usability, configuration management and handover when contributing to VBCS, OPA/PCS artefacts.
Frameworks, Standards & Reusability
- Create and maintain reusable OIC templates, integration naming standards, connection standards, mapping conventions and deployment checklists.
- Define consistent error logging, business exception handling, technical exception handling and replay/recovery standards across integrations.
- Contribute to integration governance, design reviews and quality assurance gates across the delivery lifecycle.
- Promote maintainable engineering practices, including clear artefact ownership, version control discipline, peer review, test evidence and release traceability.
DevOps, Testing & Release Enablement
- Support Git-based version control and structured promotion of OIC artefacts between development, test and production environments.
- Contribute to CI/CD or semi-automated deployment approaches for OIC where available, using Visual Builder Studio, Git-based repositories or agreed enterprise tooling.
- Prepare and support unit testing, SIT, UAT defect resolution, deployment rehearsals, cutover activities and early-life support.
- Maintain clear release notes, configuration records, dependency lists and rollback considerations for integration deployments.
Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as the technical lead for OIC integration delivery, coordinating with functional teams, data teams, reporting teams, security teams and external system owners.
- Lead and mentor developers, including reviewing designs, validating build quality and ensuring adherence to agreed integration standards.
- Provide clear technical options, risks, assumptions and recommendations to solution architects, delivery leads and client stakeholders.
- Support solution shaping, effort estimation, planning and dependency management for integration work packages.
Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Integration Cloud in complex enterprise delivery environments.
- Proven ability to design, build, test and support OIC integrations across Oracle Fusion Cloud and external platforms.
- Good understanding of Oracle Fusion ERP/HCM/EPM integration patterns, including REST/SOAP APIs, FBDI, HDL, BICC, BI Publisher and ESS job orchestration.
- Strong technical knowledge of REST, SOAP, XML, JSON, XSLT, XPath, schemas, payload mapping and interface validation.
- Experience with secure integration design, including OAuth2, certificates, secure file transfer, encryption, connectivity agents and controlled access to integration endpoints.
- Experience implementing technical and business error-handling frameworks, including logging, notification, retry, replay and reconciliation support.
- Experience supporting high-volume or business-critical integration processing, including performance tuning and operational support considerations.
- Ability to produce clear technical design documents, mapping specifications, test evidence, deployment instructions and support handover material.
- Experience integrating Oracle Fusion with enterprise platforms such as ServiceNow, SAP, Workday, Azure-hosted services, legacy applications or third-party SaaS systems.
- Proven ability to operate in a client-facing technical lead role within structured delivery programmes.
- Experience delivering within UK public sector or other regulated environments is desirable.
Desired Skills
- Oracle Integration Cloud certification or equivalent demonstrable delivery experience.
- Exposure to Visual Builder Studio or Git-based source control for integration and extension artefacts.
- Experience with Oracle Analytics Cloud, Fusion Data Intelligence or reporting-aligned integration outputs.
